About Me
Hi, I'm Caitlyn. I make wheel-thrown stoneware in my home studio in Nashville.
I've always been the crafty one. In 2020 I finally sat down at a wheel, and it clicked. It hit the part of my brain that keeps me coming back for more. I took classes for a year, then turned my parents' garage in Colorado into a studio during a break before nursing school. That's where I learned the craft.
I'm a nurse. My days are fast, busy, and high stakes. The wheel is the opposite. It's calm, it's centering, and it makes me be present. At work, there's no room for mistakes. At the wheel, there is. A piece that doesn't work out just leads to the next one.
I'm never done learning. There's always a new form, a new tool, or a better way to do something.
The Process
Everything is made in our garage studio in Nashville. We moved here in July 2025 and started building right away: shelving, wiring for the kiln, a slab roller, everything I need to work comfortably at home.
Every piece is wheel-thrown and finished by hand. My signature is an alabaster glaze, clean and modern and simple enough to live in any kitchen.
What I'm proudest of is my attention to detail and my excitement for trying new techniques to perfect my art. My pieces are made to match, so you can build a set over time and it will look like one.

The Name
CATL is my initials: Caitlyn Anne Tyree-Larose. I love my maiden name and I love my married name, so I kept both. CATL also sounds like cattle, which is why the logo is a little cow. I still think that's the cutest part.
My husband, Matt, is the L in CATL. He helped me build the studio and runs everything behind the wheel: marketing, the website, and the business side, so I can stay focused on the art.
Thank you for being here. — Caitlyn
